MUSIC, HERITAGE, PLACE

Unlocking the Musical Collections of England’s County Record Offices

Music, Heritage, Place is uncovering the musical heritage from 1550 to 1850 held in local archives across England. Led by Royal Holloway, University of London, the project is cataloguing these musical sources and developing a decentralised understanding of English music. We are connecting our archival discoveries with today’s communities, to inspire a new generation of musicians.
